crappy, crappy, crappy week(s)

Well okay, so I haven't been on here for awhile because, well frankly I've been having a pity party. I'm not really a fun person to be around right now and I fully understand and accept that. My grandpa is dying, and my cousin is in the hospital with bleeding in his brain. And the worst thing is Tyler is having the same symptoms and we took him to the ER last night and they said, "It sounds like a combination of muscle tension and dehydration" which is not right because Tyler is always drinking water or power ade or juice or something, I cannot accept the dehydration theory. The muscle tension is a little easier to swallow because he does sit at his desk all day and let's face it, most chairs and desks aren't built for a guy as tall as him. Anyway, so they gave him two liters of saline to "rehydrate" him, and put some benadryl and a couple other medicines in there. It didn't help his migrane (that has been constant for two weeks straight) and it made him MORE dizzy and MORE nauseous. So the final answer is this, we went to the ER, they didn't do anything but make things worse, I'm sitting here assuming the worst, that he's got a brain tumor or bleeding in his brain and I'm going to lose him too. I know that it's not that likely, but with everything else that's going on, it's hard not to think the worst. So I'm trying to talk Tyler into going back to the ER and INSISTING on an MRI. He's barely functioning right now, I can't BELIEVE his office hasn't sent him home, or to the ER. I will let you all know when we find out what's going on. But I do have some good news, most of you already know, that Tyler is now a Staff Sergent select. Meaning, he passed the test and now he's waiting for his pin-on date which will be probably May or June. You see, in the Air Force, when they're promoting people, they go by date in service NOT score. So even though Tyler scored really high, the people who FAILED their tests for a couple years in a row get to be promoted first. Sound backwards? Yeah, I feel that way too. BUT hey its the military, they're not known for being overly intelligent. Anyway, that's my little bit of good news in the midst of all the crap. Again, I'll try to keep this thing up-to-date and I'll let you know about Tyler when I know about Tyler. Later!

Attention: My blog is going private!!

So something happened last week that freaked me out so I'm not feeling very secure right now (for those of you who know about the Bailey story, he found me again after 5 years) so...I've decided to make my blog private. I am going to start a new blog for crafty stuff and recipes since I've got a whole bunch of projects that I want to do or are currently doing over the long, dreary winter. And that will be open to the public. There will be no pictures of kiddos, me or the hubby and no personal information on that blog. I'm not too keen on people like this guy being able to find me and I especially don't want him knowing where I live, or what my family looks like. So what does that mean to you? It means if you want to keep reading my blog, I need you to send me your e-mail address. Whether you get it to me over the phone, or on facebook or through my hotmail account, it doesn't matter, just get it to me. I realise there are a few of you who actually don't have any of that. So you can send me your addresses at lovelyalexis@gmail.com, I will not only add you to my blog, but I will send you my main e-mail address as well, I don't feel comfortable putting here so that's why I'm putting the other address. Thank you all for understanding but my family's safety comes first. I've actually been contemplating deleting facebook too but I haven't decided yet. For those of you whose e-mail address I already have, I will e-mail you the invite to my blog, for everyone else, SEND ME YOUR ADDRESS IF YOU WISH TO READ MY BLOG. Okie dokie? Alrighty then. I look forward to hearing from you all.

I know I'm behind on the gratitude thing but I'm gonna be honest with you. Everyday I'm grateful for the same things. My girls, my husband, my family (blood and in-laws) and my friends. Especially Brianna. Everyday I think about how lucky I am to have all these people in my life. I'm grateful for the gospel and the blessings it brings to my life. I'm grateful that I have an eternal family so that I can see my daughter again in the next life. I'm grateful for the military. It has it's ups and downs, but it's made it possible for us to live comfortablywhile Tyler goes to school for free. I'm thankful for sooo many things. I love you all so much. And I miss you all sorely. :D

Day 9-11, pictures, rain and video

Day 9-(temples) Today I went visiting teaching and the message was about being worthy for temple blessings. I think that message was for me. I haven't been able to go to the temple since we moved up here. It's 8 hours away and I've got small children, one of which will not sleep ANYWHERE except her crib. But this message taught me that we need to go as often as we are able, and that we can work to make sure that we are worthy for a temple recommend and the blessings we recieve there. Day 10-(rain) Oh man, lots of rain today! I love the rain up here. It doesn't just drizzle, it POURS. Like lawn flooded in three minutes. I have some pictures of it. Yes, I FOUND the camera. It was in with the cereal. Wonder who put it there? ha ha!! But like I was saying, I love the rain. Everything smells so nice and everything looks greener, and it keeps the forest fires from getting crazy. Day 11 you're going to think I'm crazy but today I'm grateful for.....ELMO. Kari has learned so much watching sesame street. She'll repeat the letters and words and she loves him, so I like him. I will be happy when she's out of the Elmo stage, BUT there's so many worse kid icons she could love. Like DORA. Or blues clues, or Teletubbies (are they even still on? I hope not) Pictures!!!!

LOTS of rain

Kari "testing the waters" ha ha!!

Soaking, and she didn't even go all the way outside!

Flooded street

Day 2-8 and where's my camera?!

Hey guys, my camera had inexplicibly disappeared. Actually, I think my two year old hid it somewhere. She does that sometimes. I guess it's time to deep clean again and check the kitchen drawers (a favorite hiding place) and in the cracks of the couches (an inevidability) in the meantime, I'm snatching pics with my poor dying samsung phone, but that's okay because.....
on saterday I'm FINALLY getting my iPhone. Tyler isn't very good about sharing his, so I have to get my own. I've been secretly (or not so much) coveting his since last october. Seriously, surfing the net in bed while having baby sleeping on your chest? Heaven I tell ya! Okay, so I've gotten behind on my attitude of gratitude, but believe it or not, I've been thinking about it everyday.
Day 1 was Kari. She's amazing
Day 2 was little Jillian. Sooooo blessed to have a mellow baby.
Day 3 is Tyler. Best decision of my life was marrying that man, despite sometimes not agreeing on things. He's incredible and I love him more now than the day I married him more than 4 years ago. I love that I have him for eternity.
Day 4 was walmart. Seriously, up here there isn't much choice in shopping. But thank goodness that walmart is everywhere.
Day 5 was church. I love my ward and the people in it. I love the gospel and the blessings that it brings to me. I'm grateful every day for the Savior in my life.
Day 6 was my mom's birthday so I was definately grateful for her. She's one of my best friends and I love being able to call her up whenever I want and rant and rave about life and she always listens.
And Day 7, today I'm grateful for nature. I don't like living here most of the time but I can't deny that it is beautiful here. Especially during our (short) summer. When the fireweed is blooming and the grass is green and the sun is shining.

So I'm going to mount an expidition to find my camera. Because I know some of you only show up for the pictures (you know who you are) hee hee!! Have a great day guys and gals!
